Terms of Service

Last updated 16 September 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of shop.aheebass.com (the "Site") and everything you buy or download from it. The Site is operated by AHEE BASS LLC ("AHEE", "we", "us", "our").

By browsing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree to them, please don't use the Site.

Our Shipping & Delivery Policy, Refund & Return Policy and Privacy Policy are part of these Terms and are incorporated by reference. Where a specific policy conflicts with these Terms on a point it addresses directly, that policy governs.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site, and at least 18 to place an order or agree to these Terms on behalf of a business. If you're under 18, you may only buy with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms.

3. Accounts

You don't need an account to order, but if you create one you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being used to breach these Terms, and in particular to redistribute our files.

4. What we sell

AHEE sells two categories of product:

  • Digital products — Ableton racks and templates, synthesiser presets and banks, sample packs, MIDI files, LFO shapes, reference material, and similar downloadable files (together, the "Content"). These are delivered by download and are licensed to you, not sold.

  • Physical products — apparel and other merchandise, including limited-run collaboration pieces. These are sold to you outright and shipped.

5. Orders, pricing and payment

All prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax, VAT or import duty that may apply, which is calculated at checkout or charged by your local authority.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we send your order confirmation or your download links, whichever comes first. We may decline or cancel an order, for example where a product is mispriced, where stock is unavailable, or where an order is flagged by our fraud screening, and if we do, we'll refund you in full.

We may change prices, add products, or discontinue products at any time. A price change doesn't affect an order already accepted. Promotional codes and bundle pricing are subject to their own stated conditions and may be withdrawn at any time.

Product pages, demo videos and audio demos are illustrative. Demos are finished musical productions that may include mixing, mastering, arrangement and additional instrumentation beyond the product itself.

6. Licence to use digital products

This section is the core of your agreement with us. Please read it.

6.1 What you get

Subject to your having paid in full and complying with these Terms, AHEE grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use the Content as a single user, as set out below.

This is a licence, not a sale. AHEE and its licensors retain all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Content. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Content to you.

6.2 What you may do

  • Use the Content to create your own original musical works, for personal, commercial or client projects.

  • Release, distribute, stream, sell and monetise those works without limit on the number of copies or streams, and without paying us anything further.

  • Licence those works for synchronisation in film, television, games, advertising and other media, as part of a finished musical work.

  • Perform those works live and use them in DJ sets, radio and podcast content.

  • Edit, process, resample, layer, retune and otherwise modify the Content when using it inside your own productions.

  • Install and store the Content on machines that you personally own or control, and keep backup copies for your own use.

6.3 Credit

Credit is appreciated but not required. You owe us nothing further for a release built with the Content, and no attribution is necessary. If you'd like to tag or mention AHEE when you put out something made with these racks, we're glad to hear it and it helps the next producer find them — but it is entirely your choice and nothing in this licence depends on it.

6.4 What you may not do

You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:

  • Share, give away, lend, sell, sublicense, rent or transfer the Content or your licence to it, in whole or in part, in its original or any substantially similar form.

  • Upload or post the Content to any file-sharing service, torrent, public or private cloud folder, Discord server, forum, messaging group or website from which others could obtain it.

  • Include the Content in any product of your own — including sample packs, preset banks, rack or template collections, construction kits, project files distributed to others, courses, or any other product or bundle in which the Content, or a minimally altered version of it, forms a substantial part of what the buyer receives.

  • Resell or redistribute the Content as-is, renamed, repackaged, converted to another format, or with cosmetic changes.

  • Use the Content to create a product that competes with it, or to reverse-engineer a rack, preset or template in order to redistribute its structure as your own.

  • Claim authorship of the Content itself, register it as your own work, or represent that you created it. You own your finished productions; you do not own the raw Content within them.

  • Share your licence across a team, studio or company. The licence covers one individual. Additional users need their own licences — email us about multi-seat pricing.

  • Remove, alter or circumvent any watermark, identifier, licence file or access control applied to the Content.

6.5 Artificial intelligence and machine learning

You may not use the Content, in whole or in part, as training data for, or as input to, any artificial intelligence or machine learning system, including generative audio models, whether or not the output is distributed.

This applies to the raw Content and to renderings, stems, bounces or recordings made substantially of it. It does not restrict your ordinary use of AI-assisted tools — stem separation, mastering assistants, noise reduction and similar processing — on your own finished productions.

6.6 Content ID and rights registries

You may not register any recording consisting substantially of unmodified Content with YouTube Content ID or any other content-identification or rights-management system, and you may not assert rights over the Content against other licensees.

You may register your own original finished works. The distinction matters: many people licence the same racks and presets, and registering a track that is essentially an unaltered loop or preset demo generates automated claims against every other producer who used it.

6.7 Free products

Free downloads, including the free bundle, are licensed on exactly these terms. Free does not mean unrestricted — in particular, you may not redistribute a free pack.

6.8 Breach and termination of the licence

Your licence terminates automatically if you breach this section. On termination you must stop using the Content and delete all copies you hold. Musical works you released before termination, made in compliance with these Terms, remain licensed, we won't come after records already out in the world.

Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund, and doesn't limit any other remedy available to us. We actively monitor for redistribution of our catalogue and will pursue it.

7. Physical products

Physical items are described as accurately as we can manage, but colours vary between screens and garment measurements carry normal manufacturing tolerance. Limited-run and collaboration pieces are produced in fixed quantities and may not be restocked.

Risk in a physical item passes to you on delivery by the carrier. Returns, exchanges and faulty goods are handled under our Refund & Return Policy.

Buying merch gives you no right to use AHEE's names, logos or artwork on anything you produce.

8. Our intellectual property

The Site and everything on it — the AHEE name and logo, product names, artwork, photography, demo videos, written copy, page design and code — belongs to AHEE or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, reproduce or use any of it except as these Terms allow, and you may not use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation.

9. Reviews and anything else you submit

If you submit a review, comment, photo or other material, you keep ownership of it and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt and display it in connection with the store and our marketing, without payment or attribution.

You confirm that what you submit is your own, is accurate, and doesn't infringe anyone's rights or contain unlawful, abusive or misleading material. We may edit, decline to publish, or remove any submission, and we don't undertake to monitor everything submitted.

10. Acceptable use of the Site

Don't use the Site to break the law; don't attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any account; don't scrape, crawl or harvest it by automated means; don't introduce malware; don't interfere with its operation; and don't attempt to obtain the Content other than by buying it.

11. Third-party services

The Site relies on and links to third-party services — our ecommerce platform, payment processors, digital delivery provider, carriers, and social platforms. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. We aren't responsible for third-party content or services, and a link isn't an endorsement.

The Content is designed for third-party software (Ableton Live, Serum, Vital and others). We aren't affiliated with those companies, and their trade marks are used only to identify compatibility.

12. Disclaimers

The Site and the Content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In particular, we don't warrant that:

  • the Content will be compatible with your specific software version, operating system or hardware — compatibility requirements are stated on every product page and checking them is your responsibility;

  • the Site will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free;

  • the Content will meet your creative expectations or produce any particular result.

We provide installation guidance and will help with delivery problems, but we don't provide general technical support for your DAW, plugins or system.

Nothing here excludes any liability that can't lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Consumers have statutory rights that these Terms don't affect.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, AHEE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost projects or business interruption, arising out of your use of the Site or the Content, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site, the Content or an order is limited to the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AHEE BASS LLC and its officers, employees and contractors against any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Content, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or an account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've breached these Terms. Sections 6 (licence restrictions), 8, 12, 13, 14 and 16 survive termination.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Clackamas County, Oregon.

If you're a consumer resident in the EU, UK or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, this clause doesn't remove that right.

[BINDING ARBITRATION AND CLASS-ACTION WAIVER — for counsel. Common in US ecommerce terms and generally favourable to the merchant, but it must be drafted to be enforceable. Deliberately not drafted here.]

Before starting any formal proceedings, please email us — most disputes are resolved faster that way.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version in force is the one published on the Site at the time you place an order, and we'll revise the date at the top when we change it. Material changes will be flagged on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

18. General

Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies they incorporate are the whole agreement between us about the Site and your orders.

Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision, that isn't a waiver of it.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.

Force majeure. We aren't liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

No third-party rights. No one other than you and us has rights under these Terms.
